Early Spring 2025: Department/Program selects candidate(s), requests student essay.
March 3: Student submits essay to DUS. The essay should provide an overview of the student’s intellectual interests, focusing in particular on major research projects that they have either competed, are currently in progress, or plan to undertake in the immediate future, and should include their future plans.
March 19: DUS or Chair or their designee submits the completed nomination with cover sheet to: acouncil@duke.edu.
March/April: Faculty Scholars Committee reviews the nominations and selects semi-finalists for interviews.
Late April: Winners will be announced.
