Could the administration provide Academic Council with an update on the current staffing, funding, and institutional infrastructure supporting Duke’s Inclusive Excellence and campus-culture work? In particular, what resources are allocated to the Campus Experience and Culture Advisory Council (CECAC) and its subcommittees, the Office for Institutional Equity, and implementation of their recommendations across campus? Could you please identify how funding, resources, and institutional/organizational structures have changed from prior years?

How will Duke ensure that its current staffing, funding, programs, organizations, and institutional infrastructure effectively identify and reduce barriers to full participation, opportunity, retention, and advancement experienced by students, staff, and faculty from communities that have been historically excluded, underrepresented, and/or underserved?
